Crazy Urban Geography Blog

http://www.terrastories.com/bearings/

Not specifically devoted to sense of place, but a pretty awesome geography-related blog nonetheless. They focus on urban exploration, which is exploring the human-built environment, most often by getting into places that are supposedly off-limits and documenting them from a geographer's point of view.

Some good examples/recommendations are their explorations of Neverland Ranch, abandoned missile sites on Vandenburg AFB, and some nice building explorations in San Francisco, Gary (Indiana), and Detroit. It's some pretty daring stuff - stand outs that I've read so far are the Vandenburg trip and the PacBell building in SF.

GOOD Neighborhoods

GOOD devoted their entire latest issue to exploring characteristics of neighborhoods. There are some good reads... the whole the issue is one big investigation of Sense of Place.
